Green, Healthy, Smart Challenge GrantThe Baltimore Office of Sustainability, Baltimore Community Foundation, and Baltimore City Public Schools, with support from Constellation, an Exelon Company, are offering Green, Healthy, Smart Challenge grants to support environmental leadership by students at Baltimore City Public Schools.
This year, 2015-2016 school year, the green team applied for a grant to create a tranquility garden. The garden will have tables, trees, and flowers from different countries. This space will become a place that students from different countries, including the United States can eat, enjoy each others company, or learn with their teachers. |
Energy GrantThe Baltimore Energy Challenge, Civic Works, Baltimore Community Foundation, and Baltimore City Public Schools, with support from Constellation, an Exelon Company, are offering “Energy Challenge” grants to help students at Baltimore City Public Schools improve the environment through a deeper knowledge of energy and how to use it wisely.
This year, 2015-2016 school year, the green team applied for the grant to help fund educating the school community and neighboring Bayview community about ways to conserve energy. The green team with be trained on energy conservation and then have several opportunities to present. They also will have a campaign around the school to help reduce energy use in Patterson High School. |
Nature Works EverywhereThe Nature Works Everywhere program funds may be used to support the building, amendment, or revitalization of gardens on school campuses, with preference given to rain, pollinator, native habitat, and other natural infrastructure projects.
